My Story
From Struggles to Strength
Growing up, my relationship with food was anything but simple. In a bustling household with hard-working parents and brothers, meals were quick, hearty, and convenient—designed more for efficiency than nourishment. As a child, I faced teasing about my weight, planting seeds of insecurity that followed me into adulthood. Like many, I fell into the trap of outdated nutritional advice, believing the Food Pyramid and calorie counting were the ultimate keys to health. I didn’t understand the transformative power of real, nutrient-dense food or the importance of honoring my body’s needs.
A High-Pressure Career and the Cost of Burnout
After college, I launched a demanding career in International Tax, thriving for 17 years in a field I loved. But the intense pressure of long hours, corporate demands, and raising two sons alongside my supportive husband left me with little energy for self-care. My approach to health mirrored my approach to work: relentless discipline.
I forced myself into grueling 5 a.m. workouts and strict calorie-restricted diets, mistaking willpower for wellness. Though I outwardly seemed “healthy,” I was running on fumes—constantly fatigued, emotionally depleted, and unaware of the deeper imbalances building within my body. My mindset was all about control, but in reality, I was disconnected from the rhythms that sustain vitality.
The Wake-Up Call
Turning 40 brought a shift. I stepped back from my career to focus on my health and my family, realizing the patterns I’d been stuck in for decades were unsustainable. Years of dieting had warped my relationship with food, reducing it to a tug-of-war between “good” and “bad.” I wasn’t just chasing an ideal weight—I was trapped in a cycle of control and self-punishment.
It was during this time I began to unlearn. I stopped chasing fad diets and started listening to my body. I discovered the power of real, whole foods—not as a tool for restriction, but as a means of nourishment and balance. Slowly, my energy returned, my mind cleared, and I began to feel at home in my body again. It wasn’t just about managing symptoms anymore; it was about building a foundation for long-term vitality and joy.

A Passion for Science and Solutions
My curiosity grew as I experienced firsthand how nutrition could transform not just my physical health but my emotional well-being. I became fascinated by the intricate connections between food, hormones, and overall health, diving into research and studies with the same analytical rigor I once applied to my corporate career.
In 2024, I earned my certification as a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (NTP), stepping into a field that blends science, empathy, and empowerment. It wasn’t just about learning the “what” and “how” of nutrition—it was about uncovering the “why” behind so many of the struggles women face in perimenopause, menopause, and beyond.
